Big Buffalo Crossing Canoe & Kayak Outfitter

Green River's history runs deep, from the Civil War to the caves that have been here for ages. Begin your adventure at Green River Park & Arboretum where you can rent a canoe or kayak and explore the scenic Green River. Located in the park, Big Buffalo Crossing Canoe & Kayak Rentals offers several canoe trips ranging from short day trips to overnight camping trips along the river.

Big Buffalo Crossing Canoe & Kayak Rentals

Some of the sites that you can see while canoeing are:

  • The scenic 300 Springs Waterfall
  • The L&N Turnpike Railroad Bridge
(1200 ft. long and 125 ft. tall) This bridge was a technical marvel in it's time and a vital transportation route during the Civil War in the 1860s.)

No crowd is too big or too small. Each trip includes canoe or kayak, life jackets, paddles and shuttle service at drop off and pickup points.

Green River Park & Arboretum is conveniently located only a few blocks from Downtown Munfordville. While you're in Munfordville, be sure to see our Walking Tour, The Kentucky Stonehenge and the Hart County Historical Museum.
